Devastating Airstrikes in Lebanon Leave Hundreds Dead and Thousands Displaced

Israel's recent airstrikes on Lebanon mark the deadliest wave of attacks since the conflict began a year ago. Thousands of people have been killed, and thousands of others wounded, many of them women, young children and health professionals.

The airstrikes have devastated residential areas, destroying or severely damaging thousands of homes. Terrified families are fleeing the southern regions, seeking safety from the escalating violence.

More than 1.4 million people have been displaced from South of Lebanon Beirut and Bekaa, including more than 7,000 in schools in Saida city. The ongoing conflict has compounded Lebanon's economic challenges, leaving many in dire need of humanitarian aid, with concerns that the situation may continue to deteriorate.

Ahlouna Association is working on the ground in Saida, providing hot meals, cold meals, food parcels, fresh food, clean water, blankets, mattresses, pillows, kitchen tools and cooking equipment, infant formula (up to age of 1 year), diapers for children, the elderly and persons with disabilities, and chronic medications to displaced families and their host communities in Saida, where thousands seek refuge. In addition to that, Ahlouna Association is supporting the collective shelters on the level of Water Sanitation and Hygiene by installing water tanks, providing maintenance work for toilets, showers and water filters.
